Hey all, this is my first 'hot deal.' This deal is available on web orders only, thru Circuit City. One nice thing, though, is you can choose to pick it up, so you can have it same day.

Infinity 1030W 10 inch sub, usually $89.99 is actually on sale for $79.99 *put it in your basket...with the lotion.*

Anyway, there is a $70 mail in rebate for web orders only. I believe it says 1 per customer.

The 12 inch version is also on sale for $89 with a $60 rebate...which is weird, because it costs more and has a lesser rebate.

Anyway, I've found a few deals through you all, so I wanted to give back a bit!

Thanks Damon. Fatwallet also has a huge thread about this. Apparently their warehouse for online orders is out of stock but you can do a local pickup at a nearby Circuit City and still be eligible for the rebate.

Where does the $9 come from? According to the rebate form you have to buy two for the rebate, so it $79 x 2 = $158 - $70(rebate) = $88 /pr. Am I missing something here?

These speakers are getting cleared out for the newer 1032W model coming out and there's currently an in-store deal of $109/pr for these subs.

I did. It says you must buy a pair.
Here's the linkified version: link to rebate form.

I just had a thought: maybe they fixed the form? If your browser is showing the "old" version, can you save it to a file and host it somewhere? They'll have to honor it if it originally mentioned nothing about buying them in pairs.

Following your link gets you the rebate form which says "Receive a $70 mail-in rebate with the combined purchase of the following pair:"

and "(Items must be purchased as a pair.)"

It has recently been changed to say "buy a pair". the rebate did not have that language before.....

I just cancelled my order...i called and spoke to a person in the rebate center, and was first assured that they WOULD NOT honor anything but the current one, then switched to a supervisor who gave me lots of ifs, maybes, and fax #s...

F@ck all that...Rebates take too long, and when there is a discrepancy, I'm sure I'd be the one bending over in the end....rear end that is.

Ahhhh.... I should have guessed. They have done that before, unfortunately.

According to the Chief Mucky Muck at FW, "...Circuit City will honor the rebates on the infinity subwoofers to all purchases made prior to 10:00AM EST 8/14/2003. "

Look this isn't that good of a deal. Since I quit this site/computer I went into car audio.

Go here

http://search.cardomain.com/cgi-bin...42&page_id=13109248&query=1030w&hiword=1030w+

$89.95 each.

Do a 105% pricematch with
http://shop.store.yahoo.com/discountsonline/in1010su.html

Will come out to be like $48. So for $96 + 15 or so shipping you can get this with NO rebates to mess with.

But to tell you the truth, these aren't good enough to buy. you can do better for $100.

Now the infinity perfects are pretty nice. You can pricematch those at sounddomain for about $100 each. They are a decent mid level sub.
