Infiniti to make BMW 6-series fighter

Nissan's luxury division is developing a coupe and convertible off of the upcoming 2005 M45 sedan. The new M45 is based on the Nissan Fuga concept unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show last fall. The Fuga is, in turn based on the Nissan FM (G35) architecture, but it's longer and bigger than the Skyline (G35). Indications are that the Infiniti flagship coupe and convertible both will be four-seat cars and won't be ready before the 2006 model year.


Infiniti needs to build something like the Cadillac CTS V-spec. M5 performace for the price of a M3

That could be cool, or it could be ugly. Infinity and Japanese companies in general are a little hit-or-miss when it comes to styling. Of course, so is BMW lately.

would they be using the V8 5.6 instead of the 4.5? or that engine is too torquey for passenger car use?

I love the new look for BMW's though I don't thinkt he rear end and the front end match well on the newer 7 series. The 5 series looks great and the 6 seris is to die for!!!!!!! I love beamers but hate their roadster models.

the upcoming 4 series (from what i understand will be a 2 door coupe version of the 3) looks gorgous but the 2 series (again from what i understand the hatchback version of the 3) looks horrible but i hate hatchbacks so

i think the 5.6 might be too bulky for the coupe.
maybe they'll pump up the current 4.5 to about 400hp.

That M45 coupe really doesn't look all that good.

Infiniti needs to rework the front facsia as they did for the G35 Coupe. While it does look similar to the sedan, you can see the obviosu changes in the front and rear end.

If they pull that off wiht the M45, then it could be a winner.
