These two cars aren't even in the same league. Honestly, I bet there isn't a single person who bought a G35 who would consider the Pontiac G6 coupe instead.

G35 hands down... but if you said GTO.... then I would have to sway my vote to the GTO... the 400hp v8 tickles my butt when you start the engine.. =D

If you threw the GTO into the equation, then hands-down GTO......wouldn't even think twice about it.

I would. I've driven both and I think the G35 is the better choice.

G35c w/ 298hp V6, 6spd manual, and stock except for added sunroof (to match the G6) runs 35.3k (I couldn't take off the sport tuned suspension option, not sure how much extra that is, but it comes with 19" wheels and suspension, and other things)

Sport tuned suspension is standard/required (however you want to look at it) on the G35C manual.

G35... because it's not a Pontiac. Seriously, that brand never even enters into the equation when I shop for cars (or pretty much any other american brand, for that matter).

WTF? Those 2 cars don't even compare. The G35 wins hands down. Anyone that would pick the G6 is a complete retard.

Was it a dud? Haven't heard anything about it. The press didn't like the first demos (too much understeering), and it's priced as a luxury car.

I think it would've made a lot bigger splash if it had been released a few years ago, closer to the release of the 6. As of now, it's just not that special, considering G35's, TL's, Passats, Camry's (upcoming), Subarus, etc. are all pushing over (and some well over) 250 hp. Kinda like if you released the WRX now. When it came out, 227 hp and 6 second 0-60 was a big deal, and it really stood out from the competition. If you released it now, it'd be just a so-so effort. (Of course the WRX was one of the key cars in kick-starting the compact and even near-luxury horsepower wars of late)
