Infiniti FX45 Review

thats the thing about a lot of these "SUVs"... many of them are a lot smaller in passenger space than a mid-sized sedan.

Read the article It can fit 4 comfortably, 5 in a pinch, and cargo room is more than reasonable (more than twice that in any sedan).

not that i was refering to cargo space but:
maybe more than twice that in some tiny japanese "mid size" sedan *cough*accord*cough*

Its 27-cubic-foot capacity is more than half again as much as a BMW X5 provides.

hey, even nissan's sedan is more than half! you did say more than twice, right? and really, this is a station wagon, and what station wagon wouldn't have more space? let do apples to apples here:

since thats not a yuppie wagon why don't we compare it to the premier yuppie wagon, the 540i? Cargo Volume (cu. ft.) 32.7

anyhow, they claim 4 adults are "comfortable" but i wonder if thats using the height of the average american: 5'8". how bout 4 6-footers?

The Max is based on the Altima.

This car reminds me of the BMW M coupe. The car looks much smaller in person compared to other SUV. I think Infiniti created a real alternative to the X5 for much less.

No, the Maxima is a FWD platform, same as Altima. This is RWD.

They had one at the car show I went to on sunday. It is an awesome car. Very comfortable on the inside. Yes, you can easily fit 4-5 adults (big adults at that) in it. The layout of the interior is very pleasing, as well -- nicer than the G35 sedan, IMO. The overall appearance of the vehicle is very impressive, IRL, teeters on being intimidating.

Infiniti is going for an all RWD/AWD line up. The I35 is dead.

EDIT: I guess you also implied that the I35 is dead and the Max is fiiling the void.

didn't know that the i35 is dead. i guess anyone who was interested in one probably cross shopped the max anyway.

18s would probably look better than the 20s on there... the 20s look rice-a-rific and make the rest of the car look small.

i wonder if they can cram the 4.5 liter v8 into the G's engine bay?

It's actually pretty good looking IRL. I saw one at an autoshow last week.
