Looking for an inexspensive case? Well, ZipZoomfly has the Black Thermaltake Mambo VC2000BNS Mid-Tower Case for $24.99 Shipped AR. Good Reviews!
$44.99 - $20 Rebate (Exp. 10/23) = $24.99 Free Shipping 🙂 This case goes for around $54.00 shipped elsewhere.

Bought the case a while back, but I haven't set it up yet (still in box). Need the other parts before I can set it up 😉. I sent in the rebate, and I got a confirmation email from thermaltake that they received it and are processing it. I should get the rebate 🙂

Looks good except in the photos the chrome part in the mid front looks kinda... funky. Does it look better in person?

Why do so many cases feature the front door?
It seems to be such a hassle to deal with that door everytime you want to open/close the DVD-Rom tray or just switch the system on/off.

For appearance. I rarely turn off my computer, so going to the power button to turn it on isn't a big deal. My only concern with this case are the hard drive bays. From my experience, hard drive bays placed like that can get in the way of video cards and other things. Also sometimes you might have to untighten the screws of the other hard drives to slip another hard drive out easily. I like the outside look though, one of the better looking cases out there.

Because many people who are into buying new cases every week prefer the clean look of having the drives covered.

In most scenerios, you can take the door off and it still looks and works just fine.

No, it doesn't. It snaps out so I took it, sanded and painted it black to match the case. Looks much better now.

I picked this case up for $14.99 shipped from Clubit.com (after $20 and $5 in rebates). Not a bad case at all for the money. Not spectacular, but far from the worst.

I may be just kidding myself, but I'm hoping it will hide the buttons from my one year old son. He'll probably figure out how to open the door soon enough though.
