A Nexus 7 has a high chance of breaking in a single drop and the repair cost is almost as much as a new device. They're very fragile.

Make of that what you will.

I've dropped mine from waist high school couple times into hardwood floor and the worst thing that happened is the back popped off. Luckily it wasn't face down though.
