I want to get a fairly large number of additional T-shirts (10+). Nothing fancy, just solid color durable T-shirts that I can wear around town without looking too scrubby. Preferably cheap, because due to my status in the family (only young man still in the state, despite having a large family) I have been getting constantly ambushed into doing things that result in oil/solvent stains and/or ripping my shirt, which is why I am now looking for new shirts.

Online or B&M, doesnt matter to me. I know Walmart carries some cheap T-shirts, but a) I dont like to shop there and b) when I looked there last week (I went in because I needed to pick up a can of RemOil) they were all graphic T's... with dumb graphics.

EDIT: please list approx. price for the vendor you are suggesting.

Gap Classic Ts.

I wear these all the time. They pwn. Also, try the stretchy ones.
I'm not a fan of the stretch ones. The lycra in them makes them too warm/stuffy for me.
The original classic t's are the best though, they last forever!

Land's End T's are great, and they have Tall sizes. Price is probably more than you want to pay though, $12 reg and $17 tall.

Fruit of the Loom Lofteez are the highest-quality blank t-shirts I have seen; they are noticeably better than Beefy-Ts. This place has them for as little as $2.04 per shirt. I have not used this vendor before and can't vouch for them, but I CAN vouch for the awesome Lofteez.

i dont know how much they are (not much though), but my favorite blank Ts are made by cheetah (pretty sure i got em from mervyns)... ive had them for over two years and wash them once a week AT LEAST, and they arent worn down at all... they might be a few bucks more than walmart stuff, but they make up for it when you dont have to throw them out in 6 months

Your guess is as good as mine. You may want to check Google for other vendors.

I will say I have 6-year-old Lofteez that are still in great shape - they really are awesome. In particular, the neck is really snug and sturdy. Definitely check them out.

Good to hear about the neck. The shirts that I have that survive fairly long tend to get stretched out in the neck, as I have a fairly large head.

Yes, yes, sturdy neck is mucho important. Nothing looks worse than a shirt with a worn out and tired looking neck band.

You can also request free shirts from hot deals.. some of them don't look very scrubby (like the compaq white polo shirt a while back)
