Inexpensive DV camera

My step-dad needs a DV camera to record interviews for school. Does anybody have an inexpensive recommendations (under $150)? I don't know too much about them, but it seems to me like something tape-based is probably his best bet.

I'd recommend a Canon ZR800. Very inexpensive and also includes an external mic jack which most higher priced ones don't have. I bought mine a year ago. I think it is discontinued now, but you should still be able to find it.
