My hardware is in my signature. I would prefer 2-3-2-5 timing and as much overclocking as I can get but I don't want to go balls out on price considering DDR2\Core2 blah blah blah.

I'm just looking for a more playable Battlefield 2 at 1920 x 1200.

A price range would be useful. If your looking for a CAS of 2, forget under $200 ATM for 2gb, unless u go open box (like the OCZ GOLD GX on the egg). Otherwise, were taking a drop down to a cas of 3. I'm probably not the best for answering this, b/c I've decided its not even worth buying more DDR...

Meh- just turn down the texture setting to "Medium" in Battlefield 2. Or even set to Low if you do not want any pauses at all and faster map loading even with only 1 GB.

Been there done that, still herky jerky. Every now and then it will "slideshow" but fraps reports frame rates around 70-100 all the time. I'm guessing it may have to do with the 1920 x 1200 resolution I'm running it at that causes even low textures to respond poorly.

Might wanna double check for being compatiable with the A8N Sli mobo, can be kinda anal on ram. I run the 10243200C2PT for mine, 4 sticks but auto is the only way it doesnt give me errors and using T2 command rate.

Yeah, it would. Seriously, did the letter look legit, or what? I'd be quite interested in finding out about a class action suit against memory manufacturers. I thought that the fine(s) by the DOJ, or whichever portion of the government that fines companies for that type of thing, would be all that happened.

DDR prices are ridiculous! I would add two more sticks to what you have now!! Or just wait till conroe and get DDR2. The DDR market is DEAD!
