Doesn't even have to be rock per say. I am just getting tired of the same crap they play on the radio over and over again. When I was home for spring break I listened to XM station Ethel and liked most of what they played on that station.

Some groups that I like that aren't on the radio much (or at all):
Bloc Party
Hot Hot Heat
The Bravery
Spoon
OAR
Shiny Toy Guns
MGMT
Franz Ferdinand
The Postal Service
Death Cab for Cutie
Ben Folds
Cake

Some mainstream stuff I like:
10 Years
3 Doors Down
Dave Matthews
Foo Fighters
The Fray
Goo Goo Dolls
Jimmy Eat World
The Killers
Panic! at the Disco
RHCP
Matchbox 20

So that's what I like. Now make some suggestions.

Hot Hot Heat
The Bravery
Spoon
Shiny Toy Guns
MGMT
Franz Ferdinand
The Postal Service---isn't the guy in this band in 4 other bands????
Death Cab for Cutie---dear god, i hate them
Cake

What....those bands are played every dam day on the radio.

That depends on where you live. Some of us are stuck in areas where radio really sucks.

I must take my radio for granted then.....

Our college station, other than playing the occasional local band, sounds pretty much like any other corporate rock station for most of the day. Then you have our other rock stations, which are pretty much guaranteed to play Sweet Home Alabama at least three times a day. Each.

I think they'd be better with a different producer. Too slick and glossy.

181.fm the Buzz

iTunes and WinAmp have links to it or you can follow the link and select it. Most of the Bands you mentioned are played. Except Spoon:)(), Franz Ferdinand, and maybe 1 or 2 more. For Franz Ferdinand and other House/Dance, checkout Ministry of Sound
