It’s interesting to see that since Trump is so radioactive that the only lawyers he can get are those who basically play them on TV. No real law firms will touch him.
Trump’s hired the lawyer he had before Cohen. I think his name is Goldberg.

4/27 Update: Not news to anyone paying attention to the Trump Tower meeting, but it seems that hacked emails confirm the Russian lawyer (Natalya Veselnitskaya-ish) lied to Congress about her connection to the Russian state and her role in the meeting.

Hey Nunes...you gonna call on her to testify again??? ;)

...Newly released emails show that in at least one instance two years earlier, the lawyer, Natalia V. Veselnitskaya, worked hand in glove with Russia’s chief legal office to thwart a Justice Department civil fraud case against a well-connected Russian firm.

Ms. Veselnitskaya also appears to have recanted her earlier denials of Russian government ties. During an interview to be broadcast Friday by NBC News, she acknowledged that she was not merely a private lawyer but a source of information for a top Kremlin official, Yuri Y. Chaika, the prosecutor general.

“I am a lawyer, and I am an informant,” she said. “Since 2013, I have been actively communicating with the office of the Russian prosecutor general.”

How many Republicans are retiring lately? And some big names, too. Premature to connect these things, but I wouldn't be surprised.

I'm not sure they can be directly connected criminally but I would not be surprised if that was the case for some. There's likely a number of reasons. Fear of running and being crushed and perhaps some can't be part of what Republicans and Trump represent. The Dems may be winning in significant part due to attrition.

Well, yeh, but they all voted for the tax bill so conscience likely has nothing to do with it.

Michael Flynn's son tweeted yesterday:

You're all going down. You know who you are. Mark my word.

http://www.nbc-2.com/story/38249926...lly-tweeted-that-youre-all-going-down-um-what

Not sure what or who he means, but I've been wondering since last September when anything was going to come of the deal Mueller cut with Flynn. No indictments since seem to have been based on any information he fed them. Yet we know they had Flynn on several felonies, and he got off with a slap on the wrist for cooperating, so he must have been providing them with something substantial.

Any thoughts?

Perhaps so, but that leaves open the vexing question of whenever, and whatever, will come of Mueller's deal with Flynn. They would never have cut that deal had he not offered them either Trump himself or at least two other people at Flynn's level, like Kushner or Don Jr. Or else Mueller is stupid enough to make a worthless deal with a felon, which I think we all know isn't the case.

It's obvious that the young Flynn is Q.

All it means is that Kushner has clearance. It doesn't clear him. Anything Mueller has wouldn't be shared and he could theoretically be charged tomorrow.
The speculation was the probe was what held up his clearances. If he's now got those clearances I can't see there being any threat to him that is currently known.

If Mueller won't provide evidence of wrongdoing against Kushner then even if the probe were the reason, there's nothing that justifies not having it, at least from that perspective.

Why would those granting the clearances have access to the information Mueller has put together so far?

Anyone see Maddows interview of Clapper?
If not, go see it now (or read the book I suppose).
Goddamn.
Thats an actual Russian puppet you got on that throne... Not a moron that owes Putin some favors for some spasmatic tower, but a full blown Russian super useful puppet.
I can almost see the Russians flying in military support if you try to remove him.
Look at the moron giving live interviews, look at the moron campaigning.. Does that look like someone that is the architect of trying to rip down the institutions, balances, of the US? Hell no, someone else is playing that game.
