I suspect it's probably true but that doesn't make it fact. If true, it indicates that Trump's handling of the Flynn affair was a gross & possibly fatal error even if charges of personal collusion are found to be groundless.

He can't throw Flynn under the bus & try to stop the bus from having its way with him. His only legitimate course was to look Flynn in the eye & tell him he'd never do a day in jail. His powers of pardon are absolute.

Funny how a grown-ass man has the memory of a goldfish in regard to some serious, and fairly recent, actions and events. Odd how he can't confirm or deny that any conversations took place between himself and the president, but has no problem freely offering up the fact that the conversation he (and Comey et al) had with Pres. Trump on February 14 (the day Trump asked Comey to stay behind for a one-on-one) was specifically about counterterrorism.

The whole "I can't talk but I can't say exactly why except to 'preserve executive privilege once POTUS knows what you want to know about" thing, is interesting.

It sounds like "Trump has not briefed me on what lies to tell, so I can't say anything until I'm told what I know and what I remember."

it hasn't even been a full month since Mueller was appointed special counsel. in fact, breaking news tonight was that he has hired 13 lawyers and we already know their specialties range from money laundering and organized crime to watergate. Russian collusion is a major problem indeed, but it also just the spark that lit the fire.
