Indictments coming...

As far as his bar status goes, I have to believe that between Mueller and Comey they have already decided it's a nothing-burger.

Again, I believe Trump's only play is to attempt forcing the committee to cancel. Hell, Comey could just hold a press conference if he wanted to. No repercussions.

I should add one thing: my wife has a pretty good theory about what's really going on here. She thinks that Trump has already been advised by White House counsel that he has likely waived the privilege by talking/tweeting about his conversations with Comey, and that he therefore has no intention of invoking the privilege. But he's having Conway and Spicer raise the implication that he is considering doing so, so that he can later come out and announce that he has no intention of invoking the privilege, even though he could (not) do so, because he has nothing to hide.

This sounds a little too clever for Trump himself, but it's possible that this strategy was suggested to him by others. It's certainly logical.

Bingo, my wife's theory was spot on.

The President's power to assert executive privilege is well-established. However, in order to facilitate a swift and thorough examination of the facts sought by the Senate intelligence committee, President Trump will not assert executive privilege regarding James Comey's scheduled testimony," said a statement issued by the White House.

Not asserting the privilege while claiming he's trying to help the investigation. He knew damn well the privilege would never hold up or he probably would have asserted it.

Hey, have those indictments arrived yet? I've been assured by the shrieking harpies on the left that Trump is done for approximately seven trillion times in the last two years.

So, apparently every major broadcast network is going to air the Comey hearing live. Wonder why ...
Damn I wish I was a student on summer break again. Was fun watching the dancing eyebrows of Sen. Sam Ervin for a couple months. Does anyone in congress do anything in the summer anymore?

So they can do a MSM version of "bad lip reading". They will have Comey's mic turned down and insert their truthful opinion of what Comey said.

They have to go through the hearings and then the subpoenas first, your honor.
People have explained it repeatedly to him and boomerang. They're just showing us how ignorant and partisan people can be when they're upset things don't happen instantly.

they just mad that their guaranteed indictments against Hillary never surfaced. 🙁 It's pretty much the same comments the dems were making in their "Hillary indictments, any minute now!" thread. 😀

They aren't upset things don't happen instantly, they are just invested in battling their imagined partisan enemies. Sniping at 'libruls' about whether an indictment has happened yet isn't about whether or not one eventually happens, it's about feeling good about talking shit to liberals. This is purely an emotional exercise for them.

If indictments ever do happen they will be upset but not primarily because of what that means for the country. They will be upset because they will worry that their imagined enemies will now be able to talk shit to them. What actually happens with the president isn't the important part.

These things take time, amirite?
Apparently they do, I can't believe that Benghazi is taking so long to go critical 😉

I will add this (to both stories); I really REALLY wish the sentiments against Trump and Clinton were, "Let's hope these horrible things aren't true, but nail them appropriately if they are" instead of "I hope they get nailed!!1!11".

Every one of these stupid posts you and the rest of your merry band of asshats has made will be oh so sweet once Mueller is done with this joke of an administration.

When Mueller completes his investigation with no indictments, the left's foaming-at-the-mouth hatred will surely be a sight to behold 🙂
