Like I said, I don't know anything about the guy, but everyone gets their day in court, everyone gets to tell their side of the story. Because he's a politician I'm inclined to believe he's guilty, but it is possible he's the unicorn politician, the one in a million that's actually semi honest.

That is the standard Trump defense. First it is that he's not lying but when saying that is so absurd they can't bring themselves to do it they fall back to 'well all policians lie'.

I'm sure there is nowhere in ATP&N I can see you finding Biden, Hillary or Obama guilty of something despite them never being indicted.

I actually found a post of his saying exactly that about Hillary but he said it was too long ago so it didn't count, which is convenient.

But it's quite a choice she has to make..

Does she allow Adams to drag down dems in NYC races and give GOP 3-4 house seats again, or does she remove him and risk a backlash from his supporters?

My prediction. If Harris wins POTUS no way can Cuomo win Mayor with all the #meetoo shit around him. How could Kamala possibly endorse him? Tish James or Alvin Bragg will have a leg up.

If Trump wins Cuomo will win. That will tell you the mindset of the people.

My prediction is that a special election here will be a shit show, similar to California's recall election in the early 2000s. No better situation for people who otherwise stand no chance of winning to throw their hat in the ring.

The special election is only triggered if Hochul removes him. Otherwise mayor election is not due till next year and the governor election the year after.

That's quite the choice she has to make.. lose dem congressional seats or lose him. And does she look better if she removes him or is she better off standing by him?

No, a special election happens if Adams is no longer mayor for any reason. Special election to finish out the term within 80 days of memory serves and then another election next fall for a ‘real’ term.
 
The silver lining here is it seems very likely that unless he beats the charges (and maybe not even then) Adams is probably cooked in next year’s primary so he will be a one term mayor.

This belongs in my conspiracy theory thread but I already posted there.. he's a GOP implant.

He was the primary reason we lost 4 seats.. he kept harping on and on about crime being out of control.

He needs to be kicked to the curb ASAP imo.. wish Hochul would do it.
 
Hoping Adams doesn't have down ballot effect. With the Mayoral history and NY just getting past George Santos it may be in Dems best interest to cut Adams loose. Show the public Democrats don't stand with corruption.

He will unless he's fired by Hochul.

And he's basically holding the dems hostage with you fire me.. my black base will not vote.

Think it's time to call the bluff and let the people decide..
