I'm sorry, apparently you dont seem to have taken an Economics class. Economies are not measured in terms of populations, they are valued in terms of something called the Gross Domestic Product. Ok, kiddo, that was an economics lesson for you, now go back to google.com and read more about GDP. If you want to compare which country's people are better off, stick to social work and not delve into topics you dont have an understanding about.
And I am right that India has MORE educated people than Iran. That makes it a VERY literate country compared to Iran. So you have no basis for comparing the two countries.

I agree on the size of the economy...it is quite large. But Iranians are far better off than Indians. The education rates are not comparable for the reason aimster has pointed out.

India: 633mill (59.5)
Therefore the number on indians "educated" are twice the US's total population. Does that make a difference at all?...no: it is obvious that the US has a much more educated population. That is why we must use percentages. And on that front, Iran beats India by 20%.
