Just wanted to make sure there was a thread with the important info in the title. The main thread on this can be found here.

New sale on Saturday and another new sale on Sunday!

Here's a map. If you check out Google's Satellite image version of the map, it's the big white building NW of where the marker is.

It is well worth the drive...trust me! ;)

Oh I know. I've been to the one in Chicago a few times. Good coffee, computer parts, I could spend all day there just browsing.

I will have to make it to the grand opening if possible.

i've had frys for like... most of my life,, maybe since i was 10. so around 15 years.

when i was a kid... it was funny, i thought frys was a treat. i'd go with my dad and i'd be like 12 years old thinking, woohoo check out all those 486s , omg they are so fast.

now frys is just the place on the back of the latimes with cheap cpu combos, and everything has been reshrinkwrapped.

If anybody sees an ad for this opening please let us know.
I quit taking the Indy Star when it became a Gannett paper and they got rid of all the TRUE local talent.

I will be in Indy Friday on business so I hope to be able to get to Fry's!!!

I'm going to Arizona that weekend but will have to check it out when I get back. I'm about 2 hours south.

I live about 1/2 mile away from where it is but have not seen any kind of circulation for them yet. I'm not saying it's not out there but I've not yet seen it...

Got some more details:

They open this Friday at 9am.
They will have a flier but not until the Friday morning paper and then it will be an 8-page add.
No they won't let me in now.

Hopefully it will do well and they'll put one in Avon. That would cut my driving time to an hour.

There was no sales tax on an order I placed last weekend with Outpost.

Until they actually are conducting retail sales in Indiana they technically are not required to collect sales tax.
After Friday though it is a different matter.

I am looking forward to seeing if the Grand Opening sale is anything like the one for the Houston store.
I saw a couple of items there that interested me!

The ad is scheduled to appear in Friday's paper, the store is open, you should go in and visit if your going to be there this weekend.

I will be out of town, but I would expect a ton of people there. The place is HUGE, I only hope their prices will be good. I don't get back to town until Monday!

Good luck to everyone, there is a discussion about this on the indy star message boards also under Local events check it out

We had a GO sale in Houston last week

There is going to be a 8 page AD for Friday, another for Saturday, and one more for Sunday-Tuesday. The first 3 days will have different items on sale each day.
