Indiana Jones 4 starts shooting this year

He has an estimated worth of $3+ billion...(Lucasfilm/ILM has $6Billion...figures released BEFORE the release of EP1) so he's more accomplished than all of us put together.

Many interesting things came out of last night's annual New York Film Critics Awards dinner. For one thing, Star Wars creator George Lucas told me that he wrote the story for Indiana Jones 4 last summer and expects to shoot it sometime this year with Steven Spielberg.
The affable, modest Lucas was a great pleasure to meet and talk to, and I'll tell you more about our conversation in a moment.

But here are some other things that happened at the dinner. This is the real ? I stress real ? awards show in New York that counts, far different from the phony National Board of Review debacle that takes place tomorrow night.

The third one had the perfect ending. I think its a big mistake to try and squeeze one more out of Ford. He's looking too old to play some guy running after Nazis.

It better be the best one of people will rip it a new one.

I hope they make his character the older (possibly wiser) Indiana Jones. The "aging warrior" having one last great adventure is a stalwart of Hollywood.

Did anyone read those old scripts in the "Reality Check" section of IndyFan? I just read the synopsis of the Christopher Columbus script for Indy III (Monkey King). That was absolutely horrible. Man am I glad the Last Crusade got made instead of that one!

I agree. As much as I'd love to see another Indy flick the 3rd gave a perfect "warp" to the series and it end on a very, very good (movie quality-wise) note. Now they're gonna probably blow it by making a crappy 4th one that will suck (especially if Lucas is the screen writer).

Indyfan said George would make the film "When the story was right". Hopefully the story is right and he's not going senile in his old age.
