Indian Wedding - Tamil

A co-worker of mine is getting married this week through an arranged marriage. My office would like to provide a little party on her return to work next week. At the moment, we have gift ideas of a stuffed elephant that we joked with her that she would ride into her wedding ceremony on, as well as a cookbook and a fire extinguisher due to her upcoming need to cook and her current lack of skills in that area. We intend to obtain brightly colored balloons and streamers; mostly bright red, yellow, and white.

A cake is planned and we would like to put "Congratulations!" on the cake in her native language, which is Tamil. This website has "Congratulations" translated as "paratthoukal" but this translation is in the latin alphabet and we would prefer to have the word in the Tamil alphabet.

Can someone please provide a website or image that correctly displays the Tamil translation of "Congratulations!"?

Are there any other gift or decoration ideas that you can think of?

Type in congratulations w/o the unicode font mode enabled. The Number 4 definition is the "right" one (I speak tamil fluently but don't know the alphabet).

Then enable the unicode font for the same word, and write down the corresponding translation in the tamil font. Like I said, I can't actually read the font, so caveat emptor.

That would explain her displayed nervousness and denial before she left for India.

This girl has a master's degree in engineering, computer science. She does not want to stay at home but is unsure what her future brings.

I see the following possibilities:

copanam (p. 457) [ copa?am ] {*}, s. beauty, azaku; 2. happy circumstances, auspicious event; 3. joy, festivity, cupam; 4. congratulations, vazttu; 5. one of the 27 astronomical yogas.

copana kariyam, joyful event like wedding etc.

copanan colla, to congratulate; 2. to communicate good news; 3. to utter benedictions, copanang kuya.

copanap pizai, inauspiciousness.

copanam pata, to sing congratulatory songs.



Which one would it be then?
"vazttu" (Number 4, like you mentioned)
or
"copana kariyam" (joyful event like wedding)

copana kariyam is Malayalam i believe or it may as well be pure Tamil but i havent seen anyone use that term before.
vazhthukal=wishes
kalyana vazhthukal = marriage wishes

also if you want them in tamil fonts let me know i'll draw it in paint & send it to you

Thank you for the information regarding the lack of use for "copana kariyam".

I have been attempting to input "vazhthukal" into the translation dictionary provided above and it is not working. I attempted ( -hth- and -tt- ). It would be great if you could obtain the spelling that this online dictionary will recognize or draw the spelling out in paint if this is easier for you.

Also, a spelling short enough to fit on a cake is preferred.

You can write everything in small fonts to fit the cake. My hand is so shaky when drawing using the mouse in paint, sorry.
