Well, first off, obviously India is making money from selling thier movies to the U.S. and other places, otherwise we would'nt be doing it. However, a large portion of the hollywood budget does come from every day consumers who spend a large portion of their money viewing movies with no tangible benefits. If you think that the U.S. spends money on defense, thats nothing compared to the portion of the economy that the Indian government is forced to spend with so much strife in the area. This is my point that America has money to spend on helping the impoverished, whereas India does not have the resources to spare.
Yeah most indian movies suck but the newer ones are getting better....the best one ive seen was "Abhay " (sp?) About a phsycotic killer and like when it shows what hes thinkin, the whole movie becomes animates into cartoon..its soo sick... And the intro is a cool speical ops type anti terrorist attack thing its sick...!

Yo, my wife is Indian. She likewise hates most of the Indian movies. Almost the same theme most of the time. But still is a good deal.

Cause they can produce like 10 movies a day. Not very hard to make MORE movies when they all SUCK. The only action is some guy beating up like 20 guys with his barehands ( so fake and they make it look SO fake). I would like to see Bollywood produce or even COPY something like STAR WARS, The Gladiator, The Mummy, Top Gun, Aliens, Bad Boys, Lord Of The Rings......
The only thing they'd be able to copy is Weekend at Bernie's, all they would have to do is drag some dude around. Even that I'm not sure if they can find a guy to pretend to be dead.
