safoo: I don't have ANY connections in india...i've pretty much been in NJ my whole life :( ... btw, are those dvd's for 30-50Rs?

when I went to india, my uncle FINALLY took me to some bazaar type place, and the prices were insane! My cousin down there said he could get vcd's for around that price (30-50 Rs), but I don't want vcd's (i'm also assuming they were bootlegs..not that it's really a problem if it was ;))

For Renting (Indian movies of course) who is the best/least expensive? No rental place near by for me.

I tried someone in CA but always popular DVDs were out. Same for Netflix-as people start sharing one account and return DVDs after long time.

Wish broadband delivery would be in place. I always end up paying for extraday at blockbuster etc.

Dream on!

<< Minimum wholesale order is $300.00 >>

no, it says "If you place an order for atleast $300.00 you qualify for wholesale discount." If you order $300 worth of stuff you get an additional discount.

I've ordered from www.indiaweekly.com before, and those prices listed are real. The dvds are really cheap compared to other places, and don't seem like pirated copies.

Indian Movies SUCK! NOT a hot deal!!

Same story line each movie. OR they copy the Hollywood movies. Heck they call themselves BOLLYWOOD. Straight up wannabes. How sad.

That is ridiculus. I hate how you Americans get all high and mighty just because you use all of your money on entertainment. God forbid you actually spend some money helping people. Did you ever think that Hollywood stole alot of their ideas from indian culture.

I'm indian and i wholeheartedly agree that Indian Movies Suck ass. Same 2 generic plot lines, cheesy music, crappy acting, only thing worth watching is the occasional hot girls.

Don't forget the spontaneous dance scenes where 100+ people appear out of nowhere and get their boogie on.

In general, Indian movies are like all movies, just a time waster. They are usually targeted towards a younger audience and just serve as a reinforcement for young people learning the language. They normally have just enough slapstick humor and beautiful women to keep people from turning them off. Regardless, Indian women are the most beautiful in the world.
Examples of good Indian cinema are:Dilwale Dulhaniya Lai Jayen Gain
and Aamdyani athyani kharcha rupaya

First of all, welcome to Anandtech. Second of all, WTF are you on? I don't see Indian govt spending money on helping people, and exactly which ideas did Hollywood steal from the Indian culture???? I'm very curious.

BTW, we use all our money on DEFENSE, not Entertainment. We let the rest of the world pay for our Entertainment by buying our movies ;)

Sudheer Anne True that! Only reason to watch is Hot girls.

What's even more sad is that, none of the actors ever SING their own song. All they do is lipsing.
