Good choice, but I'd be happier with some Palak Paneer, Malai Kofta, Garlic Naan, washing it down with a mango lassi, and finishing up with some keer. But then I'd sleep for about 10 hours.

Try Tandoori chicken, Chicken Makhani (also called butter chicken), Chicken 65 (appetizer), chilli chicken or Kadhai chicken. All great dishes but the best IMO award goes to tandoori or makhani. 65 is also great but a liitle hard to make. Makhani is the hardest to make (lots of ingredients!)

What is Tandoori chicken?

Butter chicken sounds to bland, I want something with a little heat.

Rossman, Tandoori chicken is very easy to make at home. Usually good directions are given on the masala (spice) that is needed for Tandoori chicken. You clean the chicken and mix it with a yoghurt paste containing the spices for 24 hours. Then take it out and cook it at low heat in a covered frying pan. Excellent taste with minimal effort :) I can PM you the exact masala name and detailed recipe if you want one.

And dont doubt the blandness of butter chicken, Indian food can be made spicy very fast :p

Yoghurt is usually a little sour so it lends some taste and also binds everything together in the gravy. Also it has a white color so lightly colored dishes end up looking a lot better.

Can you recommend some good lunch dishes that have meat (chicken or lamb) and veggies which is a little spicy?

I live by the assumption that any link referring to indian food is going to be a horrible ratemypoo picture...

I love Indian food, but I didn't click on your link.

it's a really good medium for a marinade that allows the spices to penetrate the meat and coat it properly.

Mwilding - Relax, look at the URL it's Google images for this dish. That's it. Totally work safe.

blackdogdeek - Thanks I saw that on the menu but I think I'll avoid that, for now.
