I felt I ought to tell you that Incredimail has a keylogger file in it. A keylogger ( if you don't already know) keeps a record of every keystroke sequence you perform.

When you type in your personal details in - perhaps your credit card number, these details are made available to whoever is interested and able to extract that info. Even if the company make no more use of that facility than to read the occasional e-mail, it is still an invasion into your privacy.

The offending file is called imhook.dll. It will be found in your system files, or maybe in System32 if you have XP as your OS. Getting rid of this file will not affect the functionality of Incredimail, it just disables the keylogger. You need to make sure you delete the right file - there is another with a similar name. The one you want to get rid of is imhook.dll.

Apparently, Incredimail is in itself a causer of system crashes - though I got on with it fine for most of the time. It did begin to cause problems eventually, so I deleted it.
Shame because some of the smilies were really attractive and cheered follk up.
