I have experienced this bug a few times in the PC version as well. Always seemed to happen when I forgot to save for a while. I've also experienced similar clipping bugs in FO3, FONV, and DAO.

It's been a while since I played ME2 (I killed the game for myself - played it 3 times straight back to back) but I remember this glitch.

I think it happened to me when I switched a weapon and then went in and out of cover too quickly. Mordin use to get stuck in walls a lot too now that I remember - since he constantly was using his flame tech and then going into cover.

eh, shoulda waited for bulldozer mate. Those extra physical cores are what your sc2 needs when it's hitching likethis.

I recently started playing ME2 again after seeing this thread and I've noticed this is shockingly more common than I remembered from three previous playthroughs. I'm somehow 'standing on top off' a ton of different objects in the world, most of the time I can find my way off of them but it's happening literally everywhere including right on the Normandy's flight deck where you can access the galaxy map, it's now to the point where I actually expect to get stuck when backing off the map...etc.

I wonder if one of the patches messed this up... I don't remember it being a real issue in the past... Still a great game and I haven't yet been forced to reload a save, but this is very common in the game's current state.

Just started playing this weekend and about 20 minutes in this happened to me. Fortunately I was able to work my way out of it and it has not happened again **fingers crossed**.

Game is pretty fun so far; I am ecstatic that I was allowed to import my character and all of my saved information. It's pretty awesome to run into characters from the first game and they react to you in the way they should considering how you treated them in the first game. I can definitely see myself going through the games again and doing the exact opposite of everything I did the first time.

Four very minor things I do not like as much are:

1. Having to fuel the Normandy. Seems like a complete waste of time and money; this is not a sim, so don't bring in weak sim-like elements.

2. Probes to investigate planets. Similar to #1; waste of time and money.

3. So far, no free-roam of planets on the ground. I loved having the land rover and cruising all over random planets, into the mountains or whatever. Spent a lot of time doing that in the first game, but it does not seem to be an option in this game; disappointing.

4. Miranda is super hot and I want to hump her, but she's also kind of a bitch and does not seem to like me, so I'm not sure it's going to happen. :(

Anyway, minor quibbles as the game is very enjoyable overall.

3. Download the free firewalker DLC, it has a Mako like vehicle. While not the exact same mechanics, you get a little bit more freeroam. I think one of the paid DLC's use it too.

4. Things can always change ;).

My problem with the Mako in ME1 was only that there wasn't much of interest to actually look at/explore. It just rarely seemed worthwhile to hunt around the various planets. "Oh look, I found a crashed probe and recovered the markings of Matriarch Denizaga" or whatever. Not compelling.

And the Overlord DLC for ME2 does feature a great map to explore with in the Hammerhead, it's the best vehicle mission of either of the Mass Effect games thus far.

I bought all of the DLC, so I guess I should encounter that stuff at some point. Looking forward to it, since so far that was one thing I definitely found lacking in part 2.

happened to me once.

I am also annoyed that Miranda is one cold-hearted bitch. :( I made all the advances, she just started ignoring me. I don't think it's worth it just to start over for one lame-ass cut scene.

just ran into a much more annoying glitch in mafia 2--chapter 14
escaping from the tall building with Joe after you've both been kidnapped
, dumb bastard Joe just sits at the top of the building and won't follow me. I ahve to push the fuck all the way down the stares and through the construction crap to force the scene, I think, to continue the chapter. Haven't gotten that to work, and since the save is right there in the final area, and he is already stuck, I had to restart the chapter!

FUCKKKKKK!! I ahd no idea that that fucking chapter started way back at the docks where I have to go into that warehouse and kill that capo with all of those dockworkers. for fuck fuck fuck sakes. ...then rob and crush cars to get the remainder of the money. fuck this shit

yeah, I found the Mako stuff in ME1 to be rather redundant in the end. It's fun a few times, then you realize it's just more busy work with no actual result. --the minerals don't even do anything iirc.

the mining in ME2 is far worse, though. what a turd of an idea.

One thing that bothers me about the Hammerhead is that it's made out of paper... that thing can't take any serious amount of damage. Any open area fights with the enemies = almost-instant death (mostly due to hand weapons being almost instant so you can't really dodge those). Rockets it's not a problem... Still, feels like a paper box "tank".

However, Overlord in general is a really nice DLC (it's a paid one, uses Firewalker's tank though). The tank sections (both in Firewalker and Overlord) feel very arcade'y - a nice change in pace compared to the walking parts.
