So, I've been playing ME 2 for a few hours now and every so ofter, my character "floats" into the air and gets stuck, forcing me to restart and play everything over again from the last save. In the 3 hours I played, this has happened 5 times. I downloaded/installed the newest patch from bioware and no luck. Any suggestions? Game is good but I'm getting so frustrated playing the crap over again, I want to toss it.

I just posted about this yesterday in the console gaming forum, though I am playing on PC. This happens to me a lot too, and there's no way to prevent it except to quicksave a lot.

Sometimes it happens when I'm trying to take cover but other times it's happened just because I walked into a wall.

This happened to me a few times also. It tends to only happen during certain missions. Fortunately its the only major problem I've found in the game. Save often. I agree it sucks but the game as a whole makes it worth dealing with.

There are a couple of places this happens. Stop charging into them repeatedly. ;)

Happened to me as well. Haven't been counting, but my guess is somewhere between 5 and 10 times. Certainly is a nuisance.

I once got stuck into a diagonally sloped slab of rock and had to reload. nothing like what you're describing though.

It never happened to me in one full playthrough.

Are those of you this happens to overclocking your CPU or GPU? Are you running any kind of mods? (No idea if any exist.)

Naah, it's a few maps with pathing glitches. (There's one on the balcony in Kasumi's quest, for example.) You'll hit 'em more often if you're a Vanguard charging everywhere.

Yea i've this happen to me many times. Sometimes it happens at the worst time. I just downloaded a trainer and turned on no-clip whenever this happened.

I want to know what you could possibly be doing to get stuck. I've played through 4 full times and was working on a 5th and never had this happen once.

Nothing special...the second time it happened, I was just rounding the corner to talk to vitara or whatever her name it.

I'll look for a trainer.

I got stuck plenty of times.. its really annoying. Most of the times though.. I managed to escape by walking/running in different directions.. until he falls back on the floor.

I had this happen once in my play through, but was able to backtrack and get back on the ground.

lol, think thats what i did too. Happened to me maybe a dozen times in 3 playthrus but each time made me wanna kill something. Of course, it was my fav game by far so having to replay the last hour again really just = More ME2!

This allows you to enable noclip. I used it once or twice when I didn't feel like restarting. There is a spot at the end of Jacob's level that can be terribly frustrating.

Also, use quicksave often. The game's autosave is quite good, but sometimes it's not quite enough. Quicksave will save you quite a bit of trouble.

Lastly, avoid running into objects which you cannot pass through to begin with.

This happened like 3 times during my play through. I saved every 5 min or so, so it wasn't too bad. Might have been the reason why I saved so often.

This happened to me several times on the PC version. I just got really used to hitting the quicksave/quickload keys.
