Increasing document lengths

So back in high school and even in my first few years in college, I loved writing papers. I would always write in single space and then do the whole BAM double space and watch it blow up to the limit. I always cut it close too, and I used to use Garamond 12 pt when Times New Roman wouldnt fit. Additionally, back when Word 2k3 used 1.25" margins, I would always shrink down to 1" margins, and my papers would just BARELY fit within the maximum limits. I looked down on those who put their headers and titles in the main page, when I had to scrunch it in the header.

Well today was the first time I struggled to write a research paper. Ok, writing the last 3/5 pages at 2am doesn't really help, so after double spacing I was at 9 pages. While my professor said 8-10 pages is fine, my English major friendt aught me something totally new.

Increase the size of your periods to 14 point. Well. My paper jumped to 10 pages. Wow. I never knew the power of the period could change so many things. I thought replacing my single spaced sentences with double spaces would increase length but it did jack crap.

Wewt. Time to print this crap.

set the spacing to be 5pt (I may use 8, dont remember) before and after. It works. :D

The period thing is pretty cool too, never knew that.

There's some youtube video or something out there with this tip in it... and it's all shady like you're getting away with cheating on your 9th grade book reports.

Wait, did you go from like nearly full 9 pages, to 10 pages, with the 10th page having one sentence? If so, then that doesn't count as stretching it a whole page.
