I have an Athlon XP 1600 @ 1.75Ghz, Epox 8K5A2+ and 512mb Kingston PC2700 CL2.5 RAM.
I had my memory running at the "fastest" setting in the BIOS. After installing MOH:AA and playing it, it would always crash and my computer would restart while playing sometimes. Also, 3DMark would crash to the desktop or restart my computer, this happened before I installed MOH:AA also. I always thought it was my vid card or something. So after all these MOH:AA crashes I decided to go into the bios and lower my CPU and memory OC. After that I never once had another MOH:AA crash, and 3DMark would run without any problems. So I went back into the BIOS and raised my CPU OC back to 1.75 Ghz. Still no problems. So I went back in and raised the memory speed back to fastest, and I started getting problems again, even my mouse quite working one time. So I restarted and put the memory speed at "fast", played MOH:AA, my PC restarts, so I put the memory speed back to "normal" and haven't had a problem with anything since.
On thing I noticed when I had my memory speeds higher and 3DMark passed was that my score was quite abit higher. So I would like to OC my memory.
So my question is, if I raise the memory voltage (its at 2.6 right now), would I be able to set the speed higher without all the problems? What would be a good voltage increase if I were to set the memory speed to "fast" to start with?
