Incorrect phases annoy me.....

Got some new speaker cables for my guitar stack and one of them is wired out of phase... makes all the bass and midrange sound screwy.....

BTW, parody threads aren't allowed. Except when they are really good parody threads, and then they still aren't allowed.

I guess I should have explained the meaning of phase in this context. In-phase means positive is connected to positive, and negative is connected to negative, with regard to the plugs on each end of the speaker cable. An incorrectly phased cable would be one where one of the plugs is wired backward. This makes the bass and midrange tones of the guitar speaker cabinets cancel each other out, leaving you with a very thin, nasal guitar tone.... not good at all for playing metal.

lol, I thought this was about motor phase wiring. Why is it that electricians can get the phase backwards on 90% of the motors, when it is basically a 50/50 shot. This annoys me to no end.
