I am currently running E8400 @ 3.8ghz stable.
On my motherboard Gigabyte P35-DS3L Bios setting, I set the CPU Vcore up to 1.3 Volt...
However CPU-Z, CPUID, Speedfan is reporting that the Vcore is 1.26Volt.
This is the same case when I was overclocking it at 3.6Ghz, 3.7Ghz, 3.9Ghz, 4.0Ghz ... When I set the Vcore on the motherboard to be x amount of voltage, CPU-Z and other software always reported the Vcore to be 0.2-0.6Volt lower.
Question is ... is this kind of inconsistencies expected on this particular motherboard? Or is this a pretty typical scenario across all mobo? Should I even care about this inconsistencies?
Temperature wise, I think I am running pretty good hovering at 53 -55c on Dual Prime95 instances. When running a single instance of Orthos @ 3.8ghz, I am running around 49-51c.
Just curious about this Vcore inconsistencies. Any input appreciated. TIA.
