Inappropriate email at work

I work for a Fortune 500 company (a wholly owned subsidiary of).

Someone from one of our sister companies sent out an email to every email account for every company.
The email has a picture with the following text:

"Senator Barack Obama, Governor Bill Richardson, Senator Hillary Clinton and Ruth Harkin stand during the national anthem.

Barack Hussein Obama's photo (that's his real name)......the article said he REFUSED TO NOT ONLY PUT HIS HAND ON HIS HEART DURING THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE, BUT REFUSED TO SAY THE PLEDGE.....how in the hell can a man like this expec t to be our next Commander-in-Chief????"

The person that sent it went ahead and made a comment in his forward that said:

"If this photo is real I hope, it, does not receive a dime from your fund"


I don't think the emailer is going to have a job very much longer. Way to let everyone know your policitcal view.
I could see if you were forwarding something to a few people, but to do a corporate wide all employee email. HA!

And now people are sending reply all emails. I love it.
 
They should be fired for sending a mass e-mail. I don;t care if it was for something I support. I am not a huge Obama fan but she should still be fired.
 
This is getting funny because a lot of people are sending reply alls to the email. HA!

I can't wait until HR sends out the email policy as a reminder to everyone.

Oh I agree to this entirely. She should be canned. Inappropriate.
 
There are 3 things wrong here:
- Who gives a shit? I'm a Republican, and I couldn't care less about what Obama did. That doesn't measure his leadership abilities at all.
- Why send an email to everyone? That's reason enough to get fired.
- Why put in your own comments that just show how biased you are?

I have no idea why the person sent it to everyone.
I've now received at least 20 reply all's from people requesting not to be on the "mailing list".
I'm amazed everyday at how stupid some people are.

My favorite email has to be:
Please remove my name from this distribution list, I believe this is an inappropriate use of company resources, time and energy.

That is from a Director at one of the companies. HA!

Thank god there are a few people out there who don't buy into sensationalist bullshit like this email. I completely agree josh, who gives a shit if he doesn't put his hand over his heart? We should judge him based on his ideas, his character, and his plan for running the country, not on whether he puts his hand on his heart, does the hokey-pokey, or plays poker every Tuesday.

Like usual, however, the vast majority of our population is going to get up in arms about this one issue and ignore what really matters in a candidate. This crap is so old, and so stupid, and the saddest part is that people will really not vote for him because of something as trivial as not putting his hand over his heart.*

*that being said, I'm not a huge supporter of his. I just think that every candidate should be judged based on their leadership qualities, not these peripherals.

yeh, no one should be sending their political views around the office like that, but i will say that the story/image appears to be true.

Ha! Our email server has the "all" distribution list set up to only allow certain people to use it. I dunno if Exchange has that or not but I bet your IT staff is looking into it as we speak.
