In WoW, can a dwarf paladin use a gun?

I was wondering because I see these guys that are lower levels than me that have guns, and I cannot use one. Is it because I'm a Paladin or am I too low of a level or what? Thanks...

Paladins cannot use ranged. They can use every other melee weapon.

Some paladins have guns because tehre is a level 60 Elite quest in Stratholme and you get Egan's Blaster to free ghosts (get the joke?)
