How do you get rid of that login screen when you start the computer? It has a username there, and a passwordfield, but no password, and I can always press cancel. How do I get rid of this?

Please, all of you, stop neffing and answer my darn question. 😀

Start --> Settings --> Control Panel --> Network

Change the Box from CLIENT FOR MICROSOFT NETWORKS logon to WINDOWS LOGON.

If you network you'll get that no? You could try removing Logon for Microsoft familt networks or what ever it is or cilent for microsoft networds or whatever it is if you don't netword or don't have a nic card for cable, but I'm not sure. I also don't know how to get rid of it if you do network, or if you can.

go into your network neighborhood properties and change your primary network login to Windows login...

Then, the first time you login, type in a username without a password. Reboot.. You should never see that screen again, stupid.

I've got an idea. Why don't you use the search feature and look up the 123 other threads that have answered this question. Or do a search on google or the MS Knowledgebase. Why the hell should we have to do your work for you?

Idiot! :|

i'm detecting alot of negative energy in this thread..........Windows ME will do that to you.....

If people would put the tech support threads where they belong this wouldn't happen so much.

go to microsoft.com and in the search field type "powertoys" scroll down till you find tweak ui, and download it... in that it has a bunch of utilitys including automatic log on. I promise this is the answer you want 😛

Thats fine. Though AT LEAST I do a damn search here, other boards, and on the web before asking a question. I usually don't ask obvious retread questions and then demand other people to retrieve them for me

Not to mention this is the wrong forum anyway.
