Well disputed as to whether he died of arsenic poisoning or stomach cancer, iirc.

Also, he was first exiled to the island of Elba, from which he escaped and returned to France and his "throne." He was subsequently defeated at Waterloo by Wellington and then exiled to St. Helena, where he eventually died.

Man, good thing SOPA/PIPA were stopped or you wouldn't be able to ping Wikipedia. :p

It took 500,000 Chinese men to build the Great Wall of China. How many Americans would it take to build the same wall?

No time at all, the wall is already built.

This was all over Facebook like 2 weeks ago.
Unless you screwed up the punch line that makes no sense...should be "none, it was already built" not "no time at all"...

Son, I knew this stuff already. His exile to Elba was really more famous than the second one, and the dispute about how he died is long-running and well-known. I was originally taught that he had been poisoned.

As JTsyo posted:

Came to post this. Able was I ere I saw Elba

I dun know I do know he died in a farmhouse of Longwood, near Jamestown. But if it was poison, herpes or his stinky finger I dun know:D
Yes we established that already

No, "we" didn't, not in this thread anyway. No one mentioned his first exile to Elba, and no one mentioned that it could well have been stomach cancer and not arsenic that did him in.

Try to keep up.

Keep up? haha Last time I heard that I was laughing so hard, I fell off my dinosaur .

Where did he die?

Napoleon asked peace of the allies, but they outlawed him, and he decided to strike first. The result was a campaign into Belgium, which ended in defeat at the Battle of Waterloo on June 18, 1815. In Paris, crowds begged him to fight on, but the politicians withdrew their support. Napoleon fled to Rochefort, where he surrendered to the captain of the British battleship Bellerophon. He was then exiled to Saint Helena, a remote island in the south Atlantic Ocean, where he remained until his death on May 5, 1821.

Saint Helena was discovered in 1502 by a Portuguese navigator, João de Nova; it was then uninhabited. In 1659 the English East India Company founded the first permanent settlement. The island was the place of exile of Napoleon (1815-21), who died there in 1821, in the farmhouse of Longwood, near Jamestown. Area, 122 sq km (47 sq mi); population (1988) 5,564.

"Well, everyone knows Custer died at Little Bighorn. What this book presupposes is… maybe he didn’t?"
