I would think after 2nd or 3rd time you might put the plate on the car.

$250 x 8 starts to add up.

Worst time warp I've seen yet.

OP: Consider putting some neon-orange and pink stickers on your front license plate to make it pretty. That should do the trick.

Confused the shit out of me 🙂

s2000

has a weird front plate bracketing system that i was too stubborn/arrogant and lazy to try to get installed back on

maybe i zip-tie the front plate back onto the grill, and place a faux-plate on the dash that reads "FK U PGS"?

It's MY honda. *I* care what it looks like to satisfy MY aesthetics.

If I wanted to impress anyone, I would have bought a BMW.

Lame. My pops has been driving around for 20 years with no front license plate in CA and has never gotten fucked with for it.

You think people would be smart enough to install the front plate after the 1st violation.

You'd think the states would get smart, and quit issuing front tags. It would cut the cost of issuing tags in half :^/

But it would also cut their revenue. 😉

That's funny I have court on 4/20 for that same issue. I'm claiming an affirmative defense (double jeopardy) because I had already been cited a warning by a Fremont cop and the disposition of that case wasn't finalized until yesterday. Hopefully I'm not laughed out of the courtroom. All those hours of watching Law & Order will have been for nothing.

Nah, they'd charge the same amount. When do fees ever drop? :^D

It would be more money for the state though. Every little bit helps.

was same in TX for me

none of these tickets were moving stops. they were mostly while parked at home. one ticket was even when i was parked at the airport long-term lot!!!

the state empowers parking nannies to hand out these infractions

economy must be real tough

here's the trick, i've been pulled over twice for no front plate, and was left with a warning both times

Keep the plate in the car, either in the trunk or under your seat or something. Then when the cop says he pulled you over for no plate, you just say that the bracket broke, and you're in the process of replacing it, AND that you have the plate in the car with you. You have to be nice and polite, and chances are he'll let you go.
