I disagree about the bad manners to bring it up now.

First, nobody related to the kennedys will read this thread, so people save your tears for when somebody gives a damn, people, and second it's almost like Christ was just killed. We have people who want entire legislation to go through because of Kennedy, so you're merely showing that he was not flawless.

It sounds to me like he got off very light and of course we all know why.

GT: When you die, I hope people don't try to use your worst and weakest moment to define your entire life.

looking...looking...looking...found it! Strawman at your 3:00!

Good, then we can talk about that piece of shit corporate prostitute Ronald Reagan. I mean, was their anything this fuck wouldn't do for a buck? A sycophantic, ass kissing yes man through and through. I really can't decide which between he and Gee Dubya had less integrity, character, and just plain morals. What human trash. Hope all that money he made for his masters got him VIP status in Hell. Good riddance.
hehe, but really this thread is about Kennedy, not Reagan.

No, this is your pathetic cry for attention by trashing a dead man who a lot of people admired. What the fuck is wrong with you? What do you care? "I just don't like that people are acting like Christ was killed..." Well, you know what? Nobody cares what you think. You're nobody. You're just some asshole who posts inflammatory shit on a forum. You are nobody.

Who pissed in your Wheaties this morning? Oh wait... that was me. Did they smell like coffee? I drank a lot of coffee this morning.

Why are you pissing on the grave of a dead man who's barely cold. Because a young woman died, tragically, and he didn't respond in the manner he should to the situation? You think he murdered her? Reagan, Bush, and Bush Jr. together have murdered millions of innocents in the name of capitlism. Where's the outrage for that? Kennedy has pushed legislation that has helped millions of average Americans, and not the the select few like your sociopathic heroes. Speaking of pissing, if I'm ever in the area, I'll be pissing on a certain grave. I'll post a pic for everyone's enjoyment.

and kennedy voted to fund all of the ills you ascribe to those presidents... he was just another politician... a rich guy who wanted more power than just being an inheritor granted him...

Don't tell him that... Conservatives are the demon spawn of the devil going straight to hell and Ted, Obama, and Libs in general are angels doing battle with the forces of evil. If you interrupt JKing's simplistic, black and white little universe he might have to actually think for himself, god help us.

Miscarriage

Sen. Kennedy's wife Joan Bennett Kennedy was pregnant at the time of the incident. Though confined to bed in the wake of two previous miscarriages, she attended the funeral of Kopechne and stood beside her husband in court three days later.[38] She suffered a third miscarriage shortly thereafter[39] which she blamed on the Chappaquiddick incident.[40]

It's considered by most this played a big factor in preventing him from ever becoming president. I think it's interesting this resulted in ineligibility for President but had little effect on him retaining his senate seat. Doesn't that seem strange to anyone else?

Now days he would have been toast even in the Senate. Good riddance. Now all they have is that jackass Kerry, the Kennedy wannabe.

Bad manners to bring that up RIGHT NOW. Very uncouth.

Why? Bringing up the fact that Ted Kennedy got away with murder/manslaughter because of his status is disrespectful how? It's not like he ever got "punished" for his crime.

How about that dude Laura Bush killed? Will it be OK to bring that up when she dies?

http://www.usatoday.com/news/opinion/e1698.htm

Did some digging around Laura Bush's accident. The circumstances are completely different. Laura Bush did not belong to a powerful political family that has connections to get her out of trouble.

If some random citizen did what Ted Kennedy did, would they be charged? Would you acquit the guy under similar circumstances if you were on the jury?

Disagreeing with politics is one thing. Sure, Obama lied to the masses and idiots actually believed him (politics), but he hasn't done anything to my knowledge that makes me think of him as a bad person, aka kill somebody and get away with it because you belong to the royal Kennedy family.

Kennedy has hypocrisy written all over his pathetic life and I truly believe he is a bad person that did not deserve to live as long as he did.

so...Laura Bush killed someone....tsk tsk tsk...

edit: classy thread.

Which makes me think of this passage form the the book "Flowers for Algernon".

"She said; You, got. to-mix?them!up: She showd? me" how, to mix! them; up,
and now! I can. mix (up all? kinds of punctuation- in, my. writing! There"
are lots, of rules; to learn? but. Im' get'ting them in my head:

One thing? I, like: about, Dear Miss Kinnian: (thats~ the way? it goes; in
a business, letter (if I ever go! into business?) is that, she: always; gives
me' a reason" when-I ask. She"s a genius! I wish? I cou'd be smartlike-her;

Punctuation, is? fun!"
