If, however, it's possible to inject girls with some kind of auto-infertility drug that can only be reversed when they're 21 and meet various criteria, we could in one generation do away with all the poories and lowers, as only the optimal are allowed at that point to breed. I suppose it's similar to what you're saying but without any distasteful aspects.

There is such a thing but it's for men and it's called testosterone undecanoate.

Sure, it has some side effects but only 1/20'th of the hormonal treatments for women known as birth control.

But women are generally considered inferior in western society so it's not used in any nation AT ALL.

Without any distasteful aspects?! That's essentially eugenics... in fact that is eugenics... and if I'm not mistaken any kind of forced sterilization is considered a crime against humanity under international law...

I've studied that law (as i was required to once upon a time) and forceful sterilisation along with forceful mutilation such as circumsision (female or male) are concidered a crime against humanity.

It should be noted that ist was standard practice in most European nations well into the 60's though.

Good idea, let's expand that to all baby fathered by someone who's been to jail. Our society will be free of criminals in one generation.

I hear Hitler was a fan of the pseudoscience of eugenics as well.

Start reading here where it says "Genetic Studies" and continue to the Next page for some evidence that criminality is heritable.

(This link works for me, but I'm on a university campus and the page might be IP restricted.)

Maybe eugenics as described by the OP would lower violent crimes and/or rape statistics. That's a big maybe. This would be good - but there's a very definite loss to what makes us human and eugenics would murder and subvert our society in far more insidious and disastrous ways, I feel.

Bear in mind that since the dawn of human society in all forms, execution for violent crimes has been pretty standard - yet it persists today even though this would be a selective disadvantage for gene alleles that predispose someone for violent criminality and you would expect them to eventually get out-competed. Note that this isn't completely the case, because a criminal that is killed may already have offspring...

This sounds like something the Nazis would done or thought was a good idea.
