In SETISpy does my system performance keep going down?

When my computer starts a WU it starts at about 1Gflop of speed but after a while it settles at around 500Mflops. Is there anyway I can stop this so as to increase production times?

WU's process faster at the beginning & the end, & are slower in the middle. Nothing you can do about it.

Did you run those benchmarks yet?(see above link) That's a better way of seeing how your computer is performing.
