There is no doubt that expensive jeans are nice. They feel nice, look nice, and they have the fade and selvedge that's great.
I have a pair of BR jeans. I dished out $60 for them after the 30% off from my friend.
Express jeans run nice too, but they don't have the selvedge that BR jeans might have. Gap is ok for jeans too, but I wouldn't go with Old Navy. That stuff is too cheap and will fall apart instantly. There IS a difference between stitching between BR, Gap and Old Navy and if you can't notice, then you must not be very good at these things. There's a distinct difference between BR outlet and the regular BR also in stitching.
If you want cheap, AE and Gap when they go on sale or at the outlets are pretty cheap. AE jeans can go down to 25 - 30 and still be decent quality. That said, those are the more plain ones and they dont look a bit faded at all for me.
I tried out Seven jeans once at Nordstrom for the hell of it. They fell nice, but I'm not spending $150 for jeans whenI know I can get 2 pairs at BR and 1 more at Express =)
