In search of plain cordless keyboard

I'm building a new computer and will need a keyboard. My last keyboard was a logitech cordless keyboard. It was RF cordless and had a decent sized receiver that was connected by USB. This is on my old computer. It just had the regular keys and 3 extra buttons for web browser, search and email. That was all.

I'd like to find the same keyboard again, but logitech doesn't seem to make it anymore. They don't even list it on their website now.

My requirements are:
1. Standard keys and arraignment. Small 'return' key. Insert, home, pgup, delete, end, pgdn keys in 3x2 grid. Arrow keys in upside down T grid. Standard numpad.
2. NO extra buttons if possible. Maybe max of 3 positioned out of the way. Not on the left/right sides. No media keys, application keys.. No extra buttons!
3. Under $30 please!
4. Comfortable.
5. As plain as possible.

I don't think they sell cordless keyboards seperately. Just mice and the keyboard/mouse combos. Have you considered just looking at the cheap wireless combos and just using the keyboard? The keyboards would lack the extra "media" buttons or LCD screens.

They have a logitech combo on ebay that's a decent keyboard, but the receiver has plugs for the keyboard AND mouse, so it's a usb AND ps/2 connector wired plugs on the receiver. I'd prefer less bulk if possible since I will be using it on a SFF case so it will be more noticeable.

I don't understand their (logitech) change to the new style and switching to combos.

Yeah, I don't understand it either. They sell cordless mice separately, so why not keyboards? I guess they must sell a lot more mice overall.

Couldn't you get one of the combos that has the little USB receiver that sticks out like a flash drive? If you don't like the included mouse you could just get a different mouse that has its own little receiver. That would just take up 2 USB ports and no wires would protrude from the case.

I would consider the newer bluetooth usb keyboards, but they're all funky and have lots of extra keys. I just want as plain as possible.

Go by scary reviews and you would end up very rich. ;)

Why? Because you would never buy any thing.

In any case as posted by ForumMaster the Keyboard is Good, the mouse I can live without.

Given that the whole thing is less than $20 it worthwhile to get it for the keyboard.

Thanks guys. I do appreciate the suggestions. I'm just one picky bastard. I will certainly consider the proposed options very carefully.

I found this: http://cgi.ebay.com/Logitech-C...VWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem on ebay. I will also think about that. It has a cluster of extra useless keys on the top, but I have had good experiences with logitech keyboards.

It just doesn't make sense why they changed the insert/home/pgup delete/end/pgdn layout on all their new keyboards..
