Well, ive been doing RC5 for over a year, but am thinking of moving on. Now understand, i could NEVER leave TA, but i will leave RC5. Party of the reason im quitting RC5 is because of d.net showing no support for David McOwem. I've always known it to be the most pointless project out there, buts it just been a fun thing to do
. Stats are a great creation
. I just wish the other, more humanity benefitting projects would release clients and pproxies, etc that rival the d.net ones!
SETI interests me just for the reason that ive never done it, and I would always like to help out the great TA SETI team
. The only thing i dun like about SETI is that it seems like another pointless project. I really could never expect for a computer of mine to discover radio transmissions from little green men. Lastly, its just as hard to pimp SETI as it is to pimp RC5. Pimping RC5 is hard cause it doesn't accomplish anything, same with SETI
. And by pimping SETI people will think i have a thing for trying to find aliens or something
Nonetheless, I MUST crack something, and i MUST help out TA in some way
. Give me a good project with a good client, an actual purpose that benefits humanity, hopefully some outlook for stuff like pproxies and personal stats to come, and I promise I can assimilate more than anyone
It's been a while since ive posted or even read this forum
. I feel very guilty about it. You can't imagine how much I still love this place and want to help out
. Just been busy over the summer with work, football, Earth 2025 clan, and social life. Hoping i can make a comeback in here.
Let me know if you have felt the same way about the DC projects TA participates in. Hope someone can offer some advice and stuff to get me cracking again with a chitload of computers. Hopefully we'll all see one of the newer projects improve and start to put out some good software and stats support. I'm willing to try the SETI client out and tickle my fancy with it until something better can be done
Thanks guys, feels great to be back
