In Russia, situation is "explained" to you.

"A spokesman for Russia's Mission to the U.N. denied that Moscow threatened any country with retaliation if it supported the resolution, saying: "We never threaten anyone. We just explain the situation.""

:awe:

I can not read that without thinking of exactly the only meaning I can truly understand when a Russian says those words like that.

Does everyone in Russia take mafia talk 101 as a required course in kindergarten or something?

The situation they are explaining goes like this:

Europe: Can haz gas?
Russia: Nyet!

What many don't understand is that the Russian mafia IS the government now. They're discovering that some functions of government must be done or the entire organization will unravel.

Pity Russia. They were on the verge of actually becoming a healthy democracy in the 1990's. However, a drunk Yeltsin and an economic downturn laid the groundwork for a return to autocratic rule. And a shirtless President for Life Putin is the result.

still better then what america does.send a bunch of liberal pansys over to do nothing but make america look bad

Or we could step up and start another war. Want that to happen cuz being a pussy or elevating shit to the next level would be our only options.

Id Russia would spend less on the military, they might be able to afford a shirt for Putin!!

Nothing worse than an evil autocrat that keeps people in prison without trials, engages in assassination, spies on everyone, launches attacks into half a dozen countries, and puts his country $17 trillion in debt. Ohh... wait that's Obama.

Clearly you need to do a little more research into some of those 'facts,' there, chief.

'Since Obama took office, the debt has risen from 10 trillion to 17 trillion.'

That would be an accurate statement. It would still seem silly to not mention that the debt went from 5 to 10 while Bush was in office. After he took over during a time of economic prosperity. And, you know, the shit he did continued to have effects after he left office. But none of that is important. Just trying to point out that-

'Obama got us 17 trillion in debt.'

...makes you look like a complete goddamned illiterate retard. You also might consider looking up who invaded Iraq and Afghanistan.

Or just keep your bullshit in the P&N cesspool.

Also realize economic policy rarely goes into full effect (on the economy) in the immediate years after getting passed. 😉

But yes, let's keep the P&N out of this.

And on top of that, the president doesn't set tax rates, or approve spending programs. Yet every four years we blame the poor bastard if things go bad, or cheer him if things go well.

That's because we're stupid.

Nah, he got it right.

Considering that the US is the Big Brother of the world and not really getting any better, but pretends it is isn't much better in terms of honesty. The faithful follow and the rest are in denial or at some level fearful. I'm not going to send this down to P&N by mentioning names but let's say that no party can point a finger at the other. We tell some incredible whoppers ourselves and will continue to do so. For that matter most nations do, it's just that they have lesser sins to hide.
