Okay so here is the situation. I live in a 5 bedroom house with 4 other guys. We all attend college. At the beginning of this year two guys moved out and two new guys moved in. Well when we went to pay the bills for august we asked the two guys that moved out to send us their share of the bills. We got everything but the power bill which was about 150$ per person. So here it is Febuary and we have been letting 300$ ride on our power bill every month since September. This morning they cut off our power and said we had to pay the whole bill to get it back on. (Oh yeah I am at school using the computer) So since they won't send us our money should we file a claim with our local small claims court? Will we get our money? Should we send a letter to their parents since their parents support them because they are still in college? Should we send an ATOT mob to their apartment?

Thanks

How old are they? If they are of age then I wouldn't bother their parents. But I have a feeling ya'll will need power before all this goes to court, have you actually asked them again and they said no, or what? Your electric bill is 750 dollars a month? damn thats high.

Our house is 3 bedroom and heated by water pipes.

Over the last 2 winters, our energy bill has been over 300 a month.

We have a small 1700 Sq Ft home.

Whoa!

If my electric bill was $750/mo, I'd be snooping around to check that 2 or 3 of my closest neighbors weren't somehow tapped into my electric meter(Stranger things have happened). Either that, or I'd be making hella bucks off the "growing operation" in the besement and the $750 would be just the cost of producing.

Good luck with your situation.

hahaha....sorry i was kinda vague. They each owe 150$ for two months. It was 75 per person in the months of june and july. We live in texas where it is 100 degrees during those months and our house is not very energy efficient.;)
