I just picked up a few (yes, three!) of the Chieftech equivalent of the Antec 1040.

I am probably going to get some cheap Panaflos from mpja.com for the 80mm fan holders, but I want to know what everyone has done with their Antec 1030/1040.

Anyone have some ideas? Post pics if you have them!
 
In the same situation...does anyone have a link to those antec specific window mods that go around the handle?

See what I've done and what I'm planning on doing to my Antec at my case modding site (linked in .sig below). Might give you some ideas for yours (but probably not).

Those will be blowing down on the video, LAN, and sound card in my system. Once the box is finished and my water cooling rig is in, however, I'm going to replace that small window with a nearly full panel window without the fans.

i'm the process of modding my new sx1030 with what i hope will be a very nice Star Wars theme.

Side panel w/ handle - Rebel and Imperial logos with red and purple lights behind them
Top panel - Jedi Knight II logo with blue light behind it
Other side panel - not real sure where this logo came from, but it kind of looks like a sun

i'm also going to paint it completely black and attempt to make my own Imperial logo fan grills out of stainless steel, replace all LEDs with blue ones, possibly add a front blowhole, etc.


i don't really have any pictures right now since all i have done are the cutout designs drawn on all the panels. hopefully i can start cutting them out this weekend and get a paint job on it during spring break.
