Hi guys,

Well time has finally come for me to return my half-functioning K7PRO. Well, it's more like 90% functional. The fan sensors don't work, so I had to go and buy some 4pin to 3pin power connectors for the case fans I had in my computer. It's extremely cluttered in there. So anyways, how do I go about returning something to the manufacturer? Do I have to pay?

I bought my MS-6195 K7PRO in February of this year, and would like to get the same mobo. I love the K7PRO, it's just I paid a lot for something that gave me troubles a month after I got the mobo itself. What kind of warranty does MSi offer? I don't see anything indicated on their box or in their manual for the mobo.

Thanks,
Paul

If you just bought it in February, won't the place you bought it from exchange it?

Certainly they won't give you money back or do an advanced replacement, but they may exchange it.

Nah, I got it from multi-wave, they won't let me return it after 30 Days.

How do I go about filling out the Microstar RMA Form?

RUSS sells MSI stuff, he can probably at least help you get on the inside and cut through the crap. I am sure there are others here who can too.

Thanks for the suggestion Warrenton, I've gone ahead and e-mailed him. I wish I would've known about CompuCheap BEFORE I upgraded from my PII-400:(

They only do RMAs for 30 days?!?!? :Q

God damn. That really pisses me off. :|

<rant> Where I work, we work our ASSES OFF to provide lower prices and offer a 1 year warranty to boot and I work my ass off trying to provide service for that year and people are still going to people like MultiWave to save $2. Whatever. :| </rant>

Email will get you nowhere. :(

You can contact MSI at 510-623-8818.

Asus, another board I work my ass off to support, is 510-608-4555.

I believe MSI charges for direct RMAs. Asus does not. Give them a try. If Russ can't hook you up, I can see what I can do. Don't know why I should. You'll just turn around and buy from MultiWave again. :p
