Right now I don't have my own pc or high speed internet because I thought it would cost to much to ship and they may break my pc. I am going back to get it but really want a pc, laptop, or mac right now to beable to get high speed internet and have a pc again or mac.

Should I buy a real cheap pc, laptop, or mac right now ? If its not worth it then is it worth it buying a expensive pc, laptop, or mac but paying it monthly instead of all at once? I know you have to be careful there though. I know I Could still have my pc shipped to me but its a computer and not a laptop so it will cost so much to ship. CRT monitor too and a huge tower.

 
I'm lost. Where are you? Where are you wanting to ship it from/to? Where are you "going back to"? Shipping is shipping, new or used, gonna cost more for a desktop and monitor than a lappy. Damage? Eh, either way, new or used, you should have it protected with insurance. Still....need more info.
 
Well, there are cheap priced PC's and there are flat out, "cheap PC's." I wouldn't go for Mac unless you had a really good reason.

Personally, a cheap Pentium 4 computer wouldn't be a bad decision. Loaded with 256mb of RAM it will be good for running older games and surfing the Internet or using it for school.

i'm pretty lost myself. did you move to a different state, country, continent? do you have a budget or monthly maximum spending amount. personally i would recommend against going all out and buying a $3000 system and pay monthly for a year. someting in the $800 should be good
 
Did you move to moon? How to have this type of post but stlil have 6000 posts on the anandtech forum?
 
I wonder what it would cost to ship to the moon. It's only about a million $ to catch a ride there. Hmmm.........😵.......thats a thinker.

It's about $20 million to catch a ride into low Earth orbit. A ride to the moon courtesy of NASA would probably run you about $500 million or so.
