Ragarding racing sims? No EA has never made a racing Simulation. They make Arcade racers. They have nothing in their library that rivals Forza or Gran Turismo. The work in prrgress project C.A.R.S is looking good.

NFS Shift series is pretty close to being a sim.

Well, I was just thinking we dont have enough Korean and Vietnam jet sims and sure enough the Air Conflict collector pack is on sale at Steam all week long.

Good stuff.

I'm okay with there being some types of games that keep getting made again and again. I view it like movies, romantic comedies are the same formula over and over, action films are, sci-fi's are, etc

OP there's a bunch of indie MetroidVania style games. Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet, Guacamelee, La Mulana, um, I can't even remember but there's several more.

We need more 3D isometric view RPG games. Thankfully we have Project Eternity in the works, hopefully it's success will push other developers to try the same.

Star Citizen seems to have revitalized the space sim genre.

The only "genre" I miss is arena shooters. I was too young to really get to enjoy Unreal and Quake fully, with only the original Xbox's Unreal Championship having a decent player base on Xbox LIVE. Now that I have a PC for gaming AND a console, I'd like some UT4 and Quake 5.

Party based RPGs needs to come back in a big way.

Theres Legend of Grimrock but not everyone likes that style of play.
Were you thinking more of Baldurs Gate?
They have the enhanced editions of BG1 and 2 on steam. GOG has the diamond editions of NWN1 and 2. Theres also Dragon age but I've heard a lot of people say they dont like it.

It appears we may get Icewind Dale Enhanced but theres no official date on that.

Need Naval combat games. Doesn't even have to be age of sail like AC IV. I could see an epic country v country modern naval warfare game with carrier fleets and subs. Need it stat.

+1. I burned so many hours playing harpoon back in the day, a reboot would be nice. Wargaming is making world of warships, maybe that will pan out (not holding my breath)

I would actually be up for a good updated WWII shooter. The old medal of honor games were great, still remember storming Normandy, that was epic.

Sweet. I hadn't heard about that.

Personally, I love the idea of enhanced editions of classic games. Like someone said earlier, a Call of Duty 2 Enhanced Edition would be awesome (Or CoD1, MoHAA, any number of Star Wars games, etc.).

Something more like Baldurs gate or dragon age 1 (not the abomination that was dragon age 2), or even more preferably, like might and magic (I know about the new one) or the wizardry series.

Grimrock is a fun game but I really wouldn't call it a party based RPG. Its more of a party based puzzle game.

Has there been a post-apocalyptic or urban themed ARPG ? I was thinking about this last night while playing PoE, it seems like all I could think of were fantasy themed, or close to (Van Helsing I guess is more steam-punk?)
