Since so many of us have benefitted from "shared" music, I thought it would be fun to share that one song or artist that you may have experienced through the service.

My Contribution:

L.A. Guitar Quartet

Not my usual cup o'tea but pretty unique combination of acoustic guitar/classical/folk music.

Honey Open That Door

I remember hearing that one long ago. No one could ever remember the name of the song. Then I checked napster once and bingo. The song had a name. I was so happy...

And it won't be dead, either. The agreement was not to shut Napster down. Instead, Napster has to remove about 1 million songs from their 'index' of approximately 1.2 billion songs.

yeah, and tucked neatly away within that measly 1 million songs are the 20,000 or so that make up 90% of all downloads

but you're right

we probably won't notice

most of us will just start listening to some nice, underappreciated, aboriginal rain music
