In light of CA's new anti-gun law.... a question

Since the US's military is spread thin, and another angry nation decided to come at us(bros) would California make an ideal target?

Plenty of harbors / long accessible coastlines
suitable highway system
airfields abound
unarmed citizenry


CA as opposed to TX or FL....
Open carry was banned by Gov JB...... which as much as I think the state has its panties up in a bunch, MIGHT make sense in the fact that people are idiots and flip out when they see guns in populated areas. But we've got assault rifles and everything banned, nobody has them.....
The whole purpose of the 2nd Amendment is the ability of the citizens to defend themselves against the government, both domestic and foreign and the most appropriate weapons have been banned! BS!

IIRC there's been 300k+ "evil black rifles" imported into CA since ~2006-2007 when we discovered the loopholes that make them legal. So there is still a large population that is armed in CA, even though the percentage might be lower compared to the rest of the country.

The west coast is indeed a weird place. I know of one confirmed liberal who shoots around here (northern Delaware). Exactly one. There are probably more, but I'd bet my life savings the vast majority are either moderate or Conservative. And until you hit Main, the further north you go (aside from PA) the worse things get. 😛

So true. I like going down to the range every so often to keep my shooting skills up to par. As well, I like to go hunting bird, pig and deer every once in awhile, so I too have lots of friends who vote Dem and have the same passion for shooting as I do. Some collections a few friends of mine own make them look like they own their own shops. Bunch'a freaks really. lol

And while Hawaii has some pretty restrictive gun laws, we all still manage to have as much fun as we want with our firearms.

So the Army is at 40,000ft now? I thought that was the Air Force. I don't own pea shooters, I own the same guns the military does. Sure I don't own a tank, but a tank doesn't do much good room to room, building to building, unless you want to take out that building. Always an option I guess.

When I shoot the gang member with the "evil black rifle", his buddy behind him shoots back a me.

When I shoot the gang member with the 75 year old M1, the bullet goes through him and takes out his buddy also.

Other then that, they both fire bout the same speed (being semi automatic), they both have less then 10 rounds loaded (the M1 clip is 8 rounds).

I would not call a 223/5.56mm, 30-30, 270, 308 or a 30-06 a "pea shooter".

My personal theory is peoples' sense of authority. Black rifles are associated with law enforcement, military. When an ignorant person sees a private citizen holding one, they subconsciously assume that said person is attempting to take the law into his/her own hands! How dare they! Especially when I've got nothing to rival it! 🙄 At this point said ignorant person begins rationalizing out their ass as to why this innocent gun owner is a symbol of evil.

With regard to gun rights, the Republicans can ram through as much as they can and I'll cheer every step of the way. But it's not just Republicans. Gun rights have been steadily advancing for the last 30 years. Even during the height of the federal assault weapons ban.
