Ace Combat Zero [PS2]
Appears to use the same game engine as Ace Combat 5, so no points for innovation there. However, since Ace Combat 5 was so much fun to play, Ace Combat Zero is equally as fun. The cut scenes now include FMV rather than just stills and in-game CG. The story is, as always with the Ace Combat series, well thought out and interesting. The difficulty level on the normal game setting is slightly more difficult than it was in Ace Combat 5. I find myself being shot down a lot more than I'm accustom, which I think can be attributed to improved AI. I like the addition of the player's combat record, especially the short bios on each ace that you shoot down. Money is a lot harder to come by, so I've not been able to buy as many new planes as I would like.

i need to reinstall it since i got my new widescreen monitor. with my old monitor it wouldn't display properly so i never really played it.

Rome Total War
Just installed something to see how my new Asus S96J notebook handles gaming and to see if it can handle Medieval 2 Total War later this year. 🙂
:thumbsup: Already beat it twice and had fantastic fun.....especially right after I took Damascus the first time and was promptly attacked the next round and watched as several thousand Egyptian soldiers attacked the city by way of all manner of siege equipment. I'll never forget peering out over the walls as a sea of golden armored soldiers and their siege towers and rams and ladders slowly advanced on my cities gigantic walls from every direction.

I bought it a few years ago and finally got around to playing it last week. Don't get me wrong, the boss fights are fun, but it's no Final Fantasy as far as story goes.

Very good game. Ive consumed quite a bit of time. 10 - 12 hours a week. Which is a TON for me.
