This post has been posted by someone who has read the books and watched the series.
Also posted by someone think that Sophie Turners portrayal of Sansa is not up to the level as some of the other stronger actors and writing on the show.
As for the books, her chapters were not the strongest.

Really?

...I wonder why we have no female members.

We don't need the kind of female members who would be offended by those, IMHO.

Everyone should be offended by those, if not for the offense to women then for how lazy and stupid they are. It is bottom-of-the-barrel 'humor'.

Few things are grosser than a bunch of men circlejerking about how great men are and how dumb women are.

Those were not about how dumb women are but how dumb women's studies' is. There is a big difference.

And so some “fans” of the series declare that they wish Sansa would get raped, a woman’s punishment for daring to act how she has been taught.

o_O What kind of "fan" is hoping she gets raped!? I don't think I have ever heard that, anywhere...........

LMAFO the woman studies ones are so true. Lets get flamed again for mentioning reddit but jeez those memes sum up the TwoXChromosomes subreddit perfectly. I now know where the crazy women come from.

Nothing wrong with women studies, there should be a men studies too but damn most of the people teaching it and learning it are so flawed and emotional in their logic. So sad.

It's not. I'm pretty used to your weird nonsensical posting at this point.

Right.

I heard on a forum on the internet that fans hate Sansa Stark and want her to be sissy slapped by bumpkins. Therefore it must be true that a lot of people hate Sansa and they are all the things.

Keep in mind I've never once come across someone who said they hate Sansa nor have I've read on any site where I witnessed an individual state that he\she hates Sansa.

I guess there are newsletters I'm not subscribed to? Perhaps I'm not attending the right conventions?

I admit I was annoyed by her, not because she was a female or feminine, just because she seemed so stupid and naive, I guess. But she is just a child (11 years old? I figured she was at least 14) and most are like that (including myself at that age). I didn't have a seething hatred for her (people wanted her to get raped? good lord) though. I should say I only watched the show, not read the books.

But I also realized that she was certainly strong in a quiet sort of way and was able to stay alive and stay in more or less one piece, physically and emotionally, throughout the show.

I don't really agree with the authors quote,

Margaery Tyrell, Catelyn Stark, Talisa Stark :)wub:), Olenna Tyrell, Melisandre, and others are all females I would consider strong in various ways but do not follow stereotypical male roles and attitudes.

Oh, I just remembered a female that's way worse than Sansa: Lysa Arryn. That busted bitch can perish in a conflagration.

Stupid and naive, I don't see how it can be justified everything happened in front of her. Arya caught on like any normal kid would have, Joffrey was a monster from the start.

And yerp  Catelyn was amazing. Fantasy boners all day.

This is one of the problems with her in the TV series, she is portrayed in that series she is at least 17 and probably older, even while people say she is younger. Her bearing does not show a child, she never looks or acts like an 11 year old.

I don't hate Sansa, I just think that most of the time on screen with her is boring. Mostly because her character is a MacGuffin. She has no real plot of her own. She is a object for a bunch of other people to maneuver and contest for. And for her part she just sits there and hopes to not be noticed while others fight to own her. I don't hate her character for this, but I don't think it is entertaining either.

Yep. I'm still rooting for her though, she's finally beginning to spread her wings, I think she'll be more like Catelyn than Arya. Although Arya is cool too. Although I'd prefer Sansa if she got a clue.

She's hot! Oh, the things I would do to her... oh baby. :p

I'm expecting full nude next year

True, true, lmao.

She's an extremely sheltered 11 year old girl at the start that
gets dumped into an abusive family/threatening betrothal that murdered her father/unfulfilled marriage/and finally defacto-bastardized
... How do people expect her to act? She's the normal kid reacting to the crap around her unlike Arya who is very weird. I don't really like her as a character, but I don't hate her either (I only read the books (almost done with four)). I don't think you would appreciate the other characters without her, and who knows maybe she'll become something better or maybe she'll become something worse; doesn't really matter.

She should've have seen the monster that Joffrey was way earlier, alot of the stuff that happened to her could have been avoided or at least made better. Anyway she seemed 14 in the show, did they ever say she was 11 ?

To put it in one sentence yes was somewhat a victim of her times where women are told to be quiet and submissive but she was blind no one asked a woman to be blind. Ever. And her father at all did not keep her quiet, Ned was a boss.

I think this meme sums up the article and the author.

Ahem. From your link:
[George] Lucas, on the other hand, believes that the MacGuffin should be powerful and that "the audience should care about it almost as much as the duelling heroes and villains on-screen".[11]

What are you blathering on about? Women being quiet and submissive is how they naturally evolved to be complementary to men. That has nothing to do with being a "victim", and most men prefer submissive women. Not many men want a bitch that argues with them about every little thing, being submissive is a plus for women and makes them much much more attractive.

Anyone who believes that learning about social history is a waste of time is incredibly stupid.

Does she remind you of those tentacle rape porn videos you like so much?

Anything but math and science is [mostly] a waste.

Random insults? How 3rd grade.
