That's where the deception, the sleight of hand, the magic gets doubled down on on the same dumb as rocks dupes that thought it was such a great idea to fuck around and get Trump elected again. They bought into the misogyny, the racist rants, the lies and disinformation that felt so good to hear, never mind that they were being played the fools. These fuckers actually believe that Trump is going to make them richer when it's so blatantly obvious that Trump and the oligarchs he's suddenly befriended are planning the biggest heist of the treasury ever while mounting an epic raiding party on the middle class' wallets, purses and gov't subsidized social safety net benefits.

So long as Trump and the spellcasters over at FOX etc. that the oligarch aristocrats hired to keep these gullibles drugged up on the targeted bullshit that hits them in their mindfucked emotional epicenters, Trump and his lackeys can pretty much get away with anything their greed driven agendas can dream up. Millions of these morons still believe The Big Lie and I really feel that Trump himself can't believe how abjectly stupid those fanatics of his are that he could pull that off so easily and so convincingly.
I'm not talking about Magas turning, but rather left wing radicals/anarchists taking matter in their own hand.

Like Rote Armée Fraction in Germany in the 70'ies or like "Luigi"

If they fire every competent administrator in FBI and other public government, it won't be very difficult to form a network Al-qaeda style with the intention to fight back against the billionaires.

I'm not talking about any sort of visa, I'm talking about people who are undocumented. I worked my entire life in an industry that used illegal's. They were paid cash, no taxes or employer co-pays involved. No workmens comp, no overtime pay, no protections of any kind. The employers made bank, the employees got fucked, and pretty much everyone turned a blind eye to it.

The coming mess is going to hurt me as much as anyone else, the only difference is that I've been expecting it. Our prosperity is built to a large extent on the poverty of others, cheap labor and offshore production in country's that don't regulate pollution or protect labor has just been reduced, I'm a little surprised you're not a little happy about that.
It's called the capitalist system. Maybe it's not so nice afterall.

So why the hell would anyone vote for that?
I don't understand how the voting public wasn't informed that Trump's tariff plan was a recipe for inflation increases. Economists were saying that, but somehow the message wasn't acknowledged at the voting booth. It's not that complicated. Yes, people didn't understand tariffs, but it's really pretty simple and anyone thinking about it logically could figure it out for themselves.

What wasn't talked about was specific mechanisms of tariffs. My idea is that the companies that import goods have to fork over the tariff (e.g. 25% starting today from Canada and Mexico) to the federal government. Does that go straight to the treasury? Is the IRS involved? Tax cuts for the wealthy will be funded by the tariffs simply due to the $$$ from tariffs funneling into the treasury as companies import goods that have tariffs slapped on them? Simple as that?

The companies paying the tariffs pass that on to the consumer by increasing prices, which boosts inflation. There was some talk about that before the election but it didn't work in the swing states. TBH, I still wonder if there were shenanigans. I saw info indicating that Republicans were preparing to use every trick in the book to sway the election.

He must have really hated me when I was 14 years old working at a grocery store as a bagger, making minimum wage of $5.25 and getting tips for taking groceries to people's cars. I reported my minimum wage pay on my 1040EZ but I completely did not report my tips.
And thanks to the GOP, the federal minimum wage today in 2025 is a robust $7.25 . 🤣

I didn't underestimate how dumb they were. The polls said dead heat. I hoped the swing states would go for Kamala, that's all that was needed. The margins were slight. Either way 1/2 of America was dumb as a brick.

The deportation side of it is a disaster we created for profit. We imported a peasant class, put them in the position of not being able to complain about working conditions or pay, and treated them like shit. That needed to end.
We fucked ourselves again when we gave up manufacturing. It was great to move all that pollution and industrial waste offshore and crow about how environmentally enlightened we are, but sooner or later those folks were going to get tired of industrial waste and poverty.
So while all of this is going to suck, and suck really huge, it seems to me that it was bound to happen. We got to live high on the hog at expense of others for a long time. Now we're going to have to figure out how to do it ourselves.

Usually when someone wants to rule like a totalitarian, they don't press the crash the economy button before they secure their power. Seems like a good way to be shown the door as people see the damage done.

Also, LOL at GM - "I'm going to shoot myself in the dick - that'll show everyone."

What they do have to remember is that, many Americans have their own "Guillotine" and decide to go Luigi on them at a certain point, if pushed hard enough.
Not just them. Anyone who would arrest or judge Luigi. Anyone who dares defend the Oligarchs.
Pretty clear path from where we are, to a french revolution.

Yea, sorta, I guess.

A total lockdown on media. After Roe why wouldnt they think, justified, that they can do whatever the fuck they want and lie their way out of it at any given time.

Start prepping for the resistance boys.

He is causing chaos for a reason. I think it is to motivate Americans for War. Crash the economy, make them angry, placate them with a War against x. Like with Iraq the shouts of "USA" will drown out any attempts to Reason.

Pretty sure at this point he and his oligarch buddies are trying to crash the economy because they are likely going to place massive shorts and reap massive amounts of money on the down fall and then buy up everything on the cheap after the crash.

All while putting their boots on the throats of the American people.

Only that the war he wants is against their own people... in a way of cleaning the country for the elites.

Just spoke with my Nevada brother on the phone. He knows I spent my entire work life in the US civil service. I was concerned what Musk and his minions are doing inside the Office of Personnel Management -- the agency which administers my retirement annuity and sends me my 1099R for tax time. Add to that echoes of trouble in the Treasury Department, which deposits my monthly to my bank account. I worked for -- and paid into the CSRS retirement program. It's a property right. I was anxious about the latest news that Musk and company had locked out senior OPM career employees from access to the central database of all federal employees and -- I assume -- retirees.

Then I mentioned the needless firing or attempt to fire everyone at DOJ who worked on the cases prosecuted against Trump. You've probably heard this before -- what I endured from my brother: the career service is just run by Democrats, and all the charges against Trump are political persecution.

I see facts, facts and more facts -- facts supporting charges of criminality. It's like my brother lives on a separate planet in a separate reality.

Since Nixon, there have been many presidencies. Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush 41, Clinton, Bush 43, Obama -- and Orange-Face -- then Biden -- and now, again -- the Felon. You'd think people would look at that historical landscape. If all the charges against Trump are just a campaign of political persecution, how is it we've never seen anything close to this in all those other presidential administrations?

My own flesh and blood -- doesn't listen to common sense. But Orange-Face, when asked about the airplane disaster over the Potomac, says that it's because of DEI programs, and when he's asked how he knows that or can make a connection of that sort, he says "Because I have Common Sense."

It has been now about 12 days since the inauguration. We have four years of this outrage in front of us.

And by the way. If Trump insists that non-partisan career civil servants must be replaced by people loyal to Him, what does that say about his intentions in a next election? Does he even think that the opposition might claim the White House again? It would seem that this insistence reveals an intention -- to remain in the White House indefinitely.

Write to your US Senators and Congressperson. This has to be stopped. It's wrong. You can measure the success or failure of any national leadership by the number of its citizens that it hurts, versus the number it serves to help. Another measure of success or failure is the number of lawsuits brought against the government or the administration, and there is going to be a shitpile of those. Civil servants cannot be fired without cause -- it's the Law. Already -- excluding the illegal immigrants being rounded up -- Trump is hurting a lot of Americans. And -- it's only been 12 days. And, already -- there are a multitude of lawsuits being filed -- and again -- it's only been 12 days.

Who's next?

1933 is more like it ... and not here either.

Logic dictates that the numbnuts who thought voting for Trump was the....the right thing to do, they're going to be more than willing to have him grind The Constitution down into a tiny little pinch of dust particles and toot it up his nose and redefine The Rule of Law as The Rule of the Lawless.

And no matter what they have to suffer through, no matter what sacrifices they'll have to make in the way of income and freedoms, they'll rationalize their way into becoming serfs and paupers rather than force themselves to admit they fucked up and get real. Reelecting Trump is all the proof one needs in this regard.

This is what Putin has done to Russia where we will have hoax elections because the people there have accepted the idea that it's OK to be ruled by a tyrant, that our military and every other gov't service is controlled at the whim of one man. the voice of the people will be silenced. Just look at how the ever increasing majority of the media, whose news we hear and rely to choose our leaders have become the licensed property of a select view individuals that have become lackeys of Trump.
